We visited the Lincoln House this morning in Springfield. Saw this guy all dressed in
clothes of that time, not good in 93 degree heat and humidity. Thought I should go talk to him.
I talked to him, said his name was Bob, and he talks to visitors about the history, the 4 block site that is now operating as a living museum. We learnt more in 15 minutes from Bob than 45 minutes on the guided tour through Lincoln's House. He was also a full bottle on Route 66 and served on the local committee for some years. Bob comes from a small village about 25 miles from Springfield. Lovely man. Oh he was ok that I took his picture.
