Bryan D: In the "you really have to want to go there to get there" catagory. We actually found John's Modern Cabins and Vernelle's Motel! When I planned this trip I had assumed we would not find these, so well hidden from any traveled roads.

Vernelle's Motel sign, still in business despite being on a dead end Route 66 alignment AND across an abandoned section of I-44 (think about that, abandoned interestate highways already).
