So Wednesday grandson Armando and I board the Texas Eagle for what was to be a relaxing 27 hour journey from Austin to Chicago but turned out to be 36 hours of hell. Two long and uncomfortable bus rides around two different derailments. But already the bad parts are diminishing from memory and the better parts are prevailing. I suppose eventually we will look back and think it was great fun.
